why would you take a picture of an ugly chandelier?

there really is no reason, unless you were trying to show a before and after photo of said chandelier. in that case, before taking down the chandelier, i should have taken a before shot. that would have been too easy.

instead, i got to dig through years worth of photos and found this shot of my daughter's princess birthday party. much cuter, and if you look closely you can see the chandelier in the background.

amazing what spray paint can do.

we had an old grandma chandelier in our dining room that was begging for an update. not wanting to spend the money on something new, i decided to take it down, paint it "soviet red" (i have to admit i bought the color partially for the name), and update the lightbulbs. for about $50, it left the 80's and moved into this century! i'm going to try to dig up a before shot so you can see it in all it's glory.
